Brahma or Cochin?

I bought this rooster under the impression he was a brahma. Now looking at Cochin roosters and I’m not so sure. What do you guys think?

I’d say Cochin.
I believe Brahmas have pea combs and only come in a few varieties.
Cochins come in quite a few varieties.

Your correct brahmas have pea and Cochins have single.

Probably a mix of both. His comb appears to be a modified single comb with pea comb influence. He also has more of the bearing of a Brahma.

He may very well be a cross between the two breeds.

That comb is NOT a single, therefore he is not a Cochin. But neither is it a correct pea, and nor is he a standard color, so I’m guessing he’s a mixed breed.

Thanks that makes sense the comb was throwing me off. He seems to have Brahma body shape?

I got 10 really nice Brahma hens off Craigslist and want to start hatching their eggs wondering if I should use this rooster?
