My poor Brahma she’s 6 1/2 years old Is not feeling well at all. First she was making a very low different clucking noise I noticed which I did post that video took me hours to figure it out but I did. I checked her feet I checked her crop. Then I cleaned her bottom off and I noticed she had a red swollen spot near her vent on the right side of it. I put her in the outside sink almost every day and wash it off with a little sprayer. But I noticed when she’s eating her vent is Vibrating that’s the only word I could think of right now, like she’s trying to use the bathroom or lay an egg. I did check her she’s not egg bound. And yesterday when I was cleaning her bottom off it was very very hot very warm. Yesterday she tried to stay away from the other flock which we only have four chickens total. She pants really bad during that the hot part of the day. I’ve been trying . everything to keep her cool. We live in northern Florida. I believe she has vent Greek. Because her bottom is all red and there was some white stuff there. Also I believe all the chickens have poultry pox. Call Lee my poor chickens I try so hard to take good care of them.I’ve had a lot of great people help me I really appreciate them.I studied and found out that I had to soak her in Epson salts for about 10 minutes which she loved. She was falling asleep kind of packing very lightly at my arm. Then I had to go to the store and get some fungus medicine. It said to use it like for athletes foot so that’s what I did and I put that on her bottom. I was told from the people here that poultry pox you really can’t do anything for them. Unless it’s so hard near an area you can put some lubrication there to help them feel better most of it is on their little beaks. I was almost tempted to take her in and put her in a cage and my laundry room so she would be out of the heat. But then I hate to take her away from the flock I know that can cause a problem. I’ve tried so many different things to help them with the heat of course. Now it’s saying I can’t give her watermelon especially to give them runny stools because of her problem with her vent. If anybody has any other advice please let me know I’d greatly appreciate it

How is she?
Is her abdomen bloated at all?
No I felt her stomach again and unfortunately she’s bony she used to be heavy she’s losing a lot of weight and I see she’s eating. And yes I wormed her and I also checked her for mites and lice. Next to her vent she had a big red swollen spot. Been soaking it in Epson salts I miss yesterday and putting athletes foot cream on it and they actually got smaller and they’re not red anymore thank goodness for that. My husband said chickens don’t last forever I said I understand that but I don’t want her to suffer.

Is her crop emptying properly? Do you know where a chickens abdomen is? Could you get a pic of her?
I went out early this morning and felt her crap and I don’t know what I was feeling but it’s not large there seems to be a couple small little lumps there and I believe they’re abdomen Is below their crop on the bottom of the chicken is that correct? But I felt everywhere I don’t see any large lumps just near her vent was a large one and it was all red and I’ve been soaking in Epson salts and put athletes foot medication on it and that seems to be getting smaller and less red.But I notice even in the cool of the morning she pants a little bit not as bad but she is panting. I took a few pictures even ever feet. I really appreciate your help. I just feel something is definitely wrong can’t figure it out I even added a good vitamins to her water. and the food and probiotics. I’m thinking of putting some oregano in the water I know a lot of chicken keepers do that. But again thank you so much for your help

So her crop was almost empty? The abdomen is below the vent in between the legs, I just want to make sure she doesn't have ascites. You may also want to try and give her some Nutri-Drench. Could you get a pic of the red spot near her vent?
The bumps by her vents are actually getting better they’re not red anymore thank goodness. And it looks like she may be getting better. I’ve been giving her probiotics, I just started giving her flaxseeds, vitamins. And I stop giving them scratch for right now.? She’s actually staying more with the flock. Thank you so much for trying to help I really do appreciate it I will keep you informed.

Good to hear she's improving! I would probably only give her chicken feed and vitamins.
After I told you it didn’t look red it started to get ready again so I try to take as many pictures as possible. It’s kind of hard when You’re by yourself trying to take the pictures. Thank you again for your help

So all pictures here are a different chicken? Her right foot looks like it has two bumps, it almost looks like bumble foot, I don't know why it would be on the top though. What does the bottom of her right foot look like?
I haven’t looked at that yet she’s one of my wild chickens. I have to catch her either in the morning or in the evening or I have my husband with me helping. Shelley which is the other Brahma her sister she’s sweet and she’s not that scared for me to pick her up. But as soon as I can I will check that I just noticed it this morning she’s not limping she’s running. Thank you again

My husband helped me with the chickens yesterday and one chicken does not have bubble foot I’ve double checked her feet thank goodness. But my sick chicken doesn’t seem to be getting better I thought she was. She cannot walk across the yard at one time she gets out of breath she’s huffing she’s limping I feel so sorry for her. She put out her wings to let the other chickens know that all I’m good she’s flapping her wings cause she is the largest chicken. I checked her feet and she has a little red spots on them I sprayed them with some antibiotic spray didn’t wanna do anything else because it’s just little red spots on there may be three or four places. Maybe ants got on her I’m not sure. She still has them too hard lumps one on each side of her vent. I’ve been trying to keep it clean and put some antibiotic cream and pain relief on it. In the evening she fights to get her spot so she can relax she doesn’t roll she lays on one of the top shelves it has wires on it but she lays flat. I’ve been given her some aspirin now because I don’t want her to be a pain, baby aspirin. I’m not sure who the specialist are on the site you know that’s been raising chickens for years and years. I’ve been dealing with this her raising them for about 6 1/2 years. My husband helped me and we actually helped two chickens one had bubble foot she was falling over she was so sick. I gave her anabiotic’s that oregano oil we’ve soaked her foot in Epson salts wrapped it up with antibiotics on her foot. And she finally got better. That’s another thing I’ve started I’ve started putting a couple drops of pure organic oregano oil in their water I know a lot of chicken keepers do that I’ve checked on it. Thank you so much for trying to help I really do appreciate it. It breaks my heart to see her in pain. I wish I had the nerve to put her out of her misery but I just can’t do it. I asked my husband to and he couldn’t do it. I’m not sure if this means anything but I did check underneath her and she’s got a bone sticking out like maybe she’s lost a lot of weight but she’s eating pretty good. I did read that Brahmas usually live 5 to 8 years I understand they don’t live forever I just don’t want her to be in painThank you again or all your help
