My LBrahma rooster is THE boss also. He jumps out of the henhouse every morning - chases the other roosters and pecks the heck out of them, then romances a few hens and goes for the scratch grains. On the other hand, he is the sweetest thing in the world - I can just reach down and pick him up and he never makes a fuss. My dark brahma hens (6 of them) are absolutely the sweetest birds I own. They come right up to my legs and peck my sweatpants gently and hang around until I pick them up..then they talk to me - wert - wert - wert - wert. And I have to add my little black Silkie, even though this is Brahma thread. Her name is Truffle and she would rather me hold her than anything else..runs straight to me and gets between my legs and just stays there until I pick her up. If she hears my voice she runs as fast as she can to the gate and waits there until I come in. My dark Brahmas do the same thing...they are curious and friendly all the time, as well as wanting to be picked up. My 5 buffs Brahmas are rather skittish, but I get them up in my arms anyway and they calm down after a minute or so. They all love mustard greens chopped in little pieces and green peas, which is what they get because all my grass is dead now. ;o)
