Homemade Brahma colors...awesome!

The more color variations, the more beauty to enjoy in my opinion.

Speaking of weird brahma colors. I had this pop up in my Buff bantam pen this year. This bird is still quite young.

Gary, I had a bird pop up like that a few years ago. Could it be a sport and what exactly is a sport? I'm pretty sure Clare's buffs are from John Neff. He has maintained his line pretty well. The bird is showing pretty excellent Brahma type, especially for such a young bird. Look at that wide blown tail. It does look sort of mille fleur? The buffs do feather in differently than the lights...it will be interesting to see it in adult feather. Obviously a cull as a showbird, but might be VERY valuable to someone trying to develop a new variety. Again, I've hatched one bird like that out of 500-600.

It would surprise me if this doesn't molt out with the Juve molt. I don't know if anyone has had Buff Brahma from James Harris, but they were nortorios for having white ticing on the head, even at adult hood. I had a lot of James Harris direct blood in my Buffs, nice large Buff bantams.

This came from Buff to Buff. 100% Neff. I frequently have LF Cochins with juvenile white that they mature out of, but this is the only Brahma of mine that has this color. I was hoping the more experienced Brahma breeders could tell me this was just an juvnile stage and/or a common occurence. Seems like it is not frequntly seen, and time will tell if it matures out of it.
