My "blues." I'm working on these girls and ending up with some blue laced black, or is it black laced blue?

I'm afraid the color doesn't show well in pictures, because they blend in too well with the ground!

A blue youngster next to my black Jersey Giant girl.

And my blue partridge cockerel, almost grown, and no those aren't vulture hocks, that's his other leg!

Blue partridge pullet, almost laying age, should be any day now.
I like the blue partridge pullet!

Gorgeous blues! wow

can I get some blue partridge from you?
I'm resting everyone right now, what with molting and shifting my breeding pens around, everybody has had the run of the back yard. I will be setting up the pens again soon, though, and I would be happy to trade some eggs with you. I would love to get some "new blood" in my flock, but so far everyone I have gotten partridge Brahmas from are too small. My boys run 14 to 17 pounds and my girls 9 to 12 pounds, so these are big guys!

LOVE!!

1 more week til lockdown on my GLBs! I'm so excited I can hardly stand it. They are such humongous eggs - I didn't expect them to be so big when they arrived; heavy too! Goodness gracious. If I didn't know any better I would think they were sneaking out of their eggs in the middle of the night and eating food, then sneaking back in!

Also - is there a way to sex them when they hatch? Does the wingfeather sexing work on this breed? We can only have hens so the roos will have to get a new home.

Thanks!
