speaking of meat in the freezer....that rooster I posted the other day has become quite agressive and has to go. He is 24 weeks old do you think he is worth cooking up or will the meat be too tuff? I know that since they develope slow they are supposed to be good eating for longer but how much longer than your average bird? Basically...cook pot or dog dish?

Yes, a couple of does. No bucks we wanted to pull the trigger on. Deer season here runs to mid January. Break in Duck season right now. Starts back the 8th, I'll be at a chicken show. Killed quite a few ducks the first part...Mallards, pintails, gadwall, widgeons and teal. We don't like to shoot the ones that don't taste good. How has your season gone Gary?

I would think 24 weeks would still be quite good for table fare.

thats because hes a southerner sally, from the time they're little, its always, yes ma'am, no ma'am, southern ladies are also taught that (being from the south, way i was raised too)

I have a question for anyone who might know.

In my Brahma pen there is 1 Gold Laced roo 1 palomino roo 1 palamino hen and like 7 gold laced hens.

Wgatas the palamino used for? I know buff laced x gold laced is gonna have split GL/BL. But I'm lost as to what the palominos use is for.

amen, down south, a gentleman will not cuss in front of a lady, or it used to be that way, still is in my family, ladies also do not cuss like sailors either, when growing up, if you did, got your mouth washed out with soap or couldn't sit down for a few days lol, but you had respect for your elders unlike today,
