as requested I bought these for Meat the ones we ate that where home Grown by the guy i got them from where so good Tall birds 2 feet with Width of the brahma And these are only 5 weeks old

I'm sorry to tell you it's a cockerel. The white band across the shoulders is a dead giveaway. Pullets have lacing without the band.

sorry you were hoping for a pullet. Any one else want to give a say?

Notice the lacing on the pullet in the front. The cockerel in the middle has the white band.

That's OK. I was afraid of that.

The guys at Aubuchon told me that there was about a 1% chance I'd get a cockerel and this time I got two-this one and an EE-go figure!! My luck is just awful, this spring. I was noticing that the feathers weren't coming in like the picture that I found of the female Dark Brahma. Thanks for you input!
