I have read the reviews on the brahma and have not seem comments on the breed to venture out of the coop and free range.
read about one that had his stand at the feeder.
Please respond if you have had experience.

my rooster is a good free ranger, and watches over his hens like a hawk. He is very protective of them too.

My brahmas LOVE to free range! As soon as I open the coop door in the morning they stampede me to get out. I don't the adults out as much but they still enjoy getting out.

My guys love to free range. They wander all over our 3 acres. The hawks pretty much leave our adults alone. I keep the babies locked up if I'm not outside, though.

Ours free range to a point on our 4 acres, of which only 2 is mowed. We have mulberry trees, an apple tree and many spruce, walnut and other trees plus tall grass that's holds bugs n such.

After introducing my new babies to the flock they started venturing out more. The babies are excellent foragers. They're not brahmas, they're 3 other breeds. The brahmas will b a year old next month.

My buff bantam ranges with my LF Barnevelders she comes inside after Barnies at night

Hello! I bought some chickens yesterday and this H-U-G-E fella was thrown in for free. She was going to throw in the hen, but we couldnt' find her, she said she'd get ahold of me later in the week if she could track her down and catch her. BUT! I never thought I'd own Brahmas, wasn't in the plans at all, yet here I am in love with this big galut!
