good morning everyone, took one culled one BLB this weekend, he had steraight comb that will never work. My GLB looks great I have 2 more BLB that I am trying to decide which one to keep.

This is a cockerel(thats right, a cockerel!) by Spence/Williams at the 2009 ABC national. Just a couple of examples of excellent heads. Or to use a phrase coined by Chad and Greg "STUPID headed".

I´m not into showing, just think Brahmas are very beautiful. To me, this isn´t. Did the original Brahma look like this? My first reaction to this is that it looks like the British Bulldog. And that´s gone a long way from its roots. I have Brahmas here, they´re probably not very good, as no-one´s really made much comment about them when I posted pics, but I think they are very lovely to look at.....This one doesn´t give me that same delight. I know they should be wide, but even if it loses its beauty?

What you find beautiful may be totally different from what someone else does. That said, there is a written standard of perfection that determines what is correct for each breed.

I find this attractive.

O.k. so I'm feeling foolish now for ordering hatchery Brahma's because they're nothing like those from breeders. Can anyone at least please reassure me that they think they're the same? I mean I mostly chose them because of their personalities. Hey this sounds like an ugly blind date experience, huh? What I mean is, have they been crossed with so many prolific layers that they aren't even sweet anymore, or are they just imperfect, show wise? C'mon, tell me it'll be alright.

Well they are day old so i think that they should be fine with personality with anything its how much time and how kind you are to them.
where did you order them ?

I love my brahmas i have the LF darks . If your just after eggs they should be fine , enjoy them, Tammy

Thanks, Tammy. I ordered from MPC. I"m not just in this for the eggs. It's also for the pure fun of having chickens, that's why I'm wondering about the personalities of supposed hatchery Brahma's,and concerned if they're as friendly as their breeder counterparts.

Do you have pics of your Brahmas? Do you sell fertilized eggs?
