Hey forgot to tell you all My Birds are OK they did some testing and basically was me stressing. Paint fumes are BAD for birds according to the Guy that came out ,.
funny we have not painted anything then i see the Can of paint that was close to the coop ... Wondering if the old neighbor was painting he has a dog that is in need of a Brain he gets everything and brings it to me once i had the neighbors wallet . but tests results on my kids was clear and the turkeys are all gone now ? someone was trying to catch them but wondering where they went . maybe nesting ?

Here are a few of mine now. Just over 3 months old. I think hopefully one is a roo. Has a different tail then all the others. And is very wide.

See how that one on top has a different tail! Doesn't have the black feathers out the end like the rest of them. Tail is still pretty short. ROO???

That's good news. I'm having a lot of turkey visitors right now. The wild birds can't get any direct contact at this point. The runs are all enclosed over the top, and 6 inches into the ground in a trench filled with fence post cement. The latter more for the four legged wild life.

I set a Bantam Brahma hen on 7 eggs 5 hatched

I had 6 more hatch in the bator.

My question is do you think the hen could keep all 11 chicks? I have her in the garage in large dog crate with her 5 little chicks. The other chicks are under a heat lamp in the house. But if I could put the others with her that is one less heat lamp running.
Thanks for any input.
Yes. I have done it before. Best if they are very young and the same age. Best to put them under her at night in my experience.

I am done hatching Brahmas this year. Six of my seven breeder Buff females are broody. We use them to hatch and raise my Son's bantam cornish. Both of our incubators are turned off now.

Tim

Tim, the 8 chicks I hatched from your eggs are doing well. Plenty of boys I think.

My 2011 LBB cock finally fertilized a grand total of 3 eggs which hatched today. Nothing before or since has been fertile.

My second batch of LARGE fowl Lights is in the incubator. Hope for a decent hatch.

Glad they are doing well, wish more had been females. Maybe one of the males from the eggs will be a good one.

I'm hatching tons of birds and need to start selling. Is $10 too much to ask for a sexed buff brahma female chick? Need to start making money on the Brahmas so I can get a white Leghorn cockerel.
