You're are exactly right. I am going to have around 70 chicks within the next month so I need to start selling a few so the feed bill doesn't kill me LOL. I'm going to probably only hatch any eggs I get within the next month and then call it enough. I may hatch out only my one pen after that or if the whole $10 thing works out nicely then I would be willing to hatch the other pen too and sell as soon as they hatch. It's quite convenient that they can be sexed at hatch.I think he is talking about sex link chicks? Buff to light produces buff females and light looking males so I have been told...

You will have Buffs with the occasional white feathers and lights, especially males, with brassiness in the wingbows. I still have Buff males, seven or eight generations after such cross that crop up with white in the wings. Does not matter if you are simply a back-yarder.
