As we discussed HERE at LENGTH before....there are TWO types of ILT vaccine...........Live and Modified, the modified will not spread the virus to other birds. The live virus CAN. Thats the way I understand it. IF ILT is not a problem in your area of the country I personaly would not vaccinate.(My opinion FWIW). Stop blaming the guy. Deal with it, move on. You seem to enjoy a good crisis?

Tim
Tim have you Noticed i was not online for over a Week ? I have been Dealing with it . I am blaiming myself ENJOY what have you been Drinking Seriously? i am anything but enjoying this .
anyway i have the Modified Virus because the vet was so sure i answered someone elses Question to get you to jump all over my post ,. thats pretty sad in my opinion i am just heart broken .
but to not blaim this man for what he did to me . ? sounds obserd to be as if I have not taken any responsibility to know how i got this Issue with the upper resp he would not or maybe knew he had one and had no idea it could spread .

I guess teaching him about Disease is not a Good thing I still wanna break his nose but too i learned a good lesson, Thank you Tim for being so Understanding

He is Beautiful Boy
Thanks
Its kind of hard to tell from such a small pic. Color looks good. I like a little more tail. Can't tell anything about width from the side view.
I knew it would be tough from just one pic, I will try to get some better pics tonight. He is a Bantam of course. OK maybe better evaluation tomorrow, these were free with an order of Buff Brahma Bantam eggs(which did not hatch well at all) but the Dark Brahma Bantams all three hatched and it was a trio. Whats the chances and of course we fell in love with them.

Don't remember all the particulars, but could well be this person had no idea he was putting your flock at risk.

I am amazed by people who have had poultry for a while, yet will pick up new birds at a swap/show and think nothing of dumping them right in with there existing flock. Ingnorance is bliss, but you can be lucky only so long before a tough lesson is learned. So it's possible this guy was one of those clueless whistling fools.

On the other hand some of these things seem to spontaneously erupt. Could be airborne like Marek's. Or enviormental, proper combination of heat, moisture and soil contact and you'll likely have some variety of Cocidiosis. Might even be a little present a sparrow left you. Sometimes there is no discernable point of origin.

Did you ever get a diagnosis from testing?

Ive not been to a swap or fair or show. I did have the birds separated the ones for sale and younger birds on the Left side of my house .
But stupid me i feed the birds walk from the juniors area to my adult area and then let the adults into the run and then walk back over to juniors and let them into their run,

Ill be completely out of chickens by this time tomorrow so not to worry i think the right thing is to start all over again and sanitize the whole area bleaching and burning everything,

for runs i use cyclone fencing any Idea if burning those hot hot hot would kill off anything since they have been galvanized i do not thing Bleaching them like my whole back yard and then slash Burning everything thats wood and yard Down and starting New .

Im hoping this will work as i have all runs covered with clear tarps as well so they can see but no droppings get in but looks like i did not do my job enough . Thanks all for your help and advice i do greatly appriciate it even yours Tim ........ I was just hurt when i read your post Tammy

That sounds a bit excessive to get rid of respiratory disease. Starting over again sucks and I would consult with an avian specialist, or do some more research into the real risks from scientific sources (anywhere but BYC), if breeders destroyed flock and did this every time they lost a couple birds there wouldn't be any in a very short time.
