Ive not been to a swap or fair or show. I did have the birds separated the ones for sale and younger birds on the Left side of my house .
But stupid me i feed the birds walk from the juniors area to my adult area and then let the adults into the run and then walk back over to juniors and let them into their run,

Ill be completely out of chickens by this time tomorrow so not to worry i think the right thing is to start all over again and sanitize the whole area bleaching and burning everything,

for runs i use cyclone fencing any Idea if burning those hot hot hot would kill off anything since they have been galvanized i do not thing Bleaching them like my whole back yard and then slash Burning everything thats wood and yard Down and starting New .

Im hoping this will work as i have all runs covered with clear tarps as well so they can see but no droppings get in but looks like i did not do my job enough . Thanks all for your help and advice i do greatly appriciate it even yours Tim ........ I was just hurt when i read your post Tammy
This is hysteria. You will be culling your entire flock on a regular basis so I suggest a different species. I repeat....do you have a confirmed diagnosis?

why will you be completely out of chickens? will you be putting the healthy ones down too?

What could be expected as a reasonable number of eggs pr week from the bantams? Thanks.
four to six is reasonable. My lights tend to lay better than my buffs do. One thing I like about bantam Brahmas is they lay an extremely large egg for a bantam. Obviously some lines lay better than others....just my experience.

baytril is a good medicine, have used it on my hookbills, works everytime if i catch the whatever they have in time. but still don't understand why you won't have chickens after tomorrow, if you have healthy ones away from the sick ones, and watch them close, whats the problem?

at first starting to lay 3 and 4 eggs a week for maybe 1-2 weeks then if the birds are worth anything they should lay an egg a day anything less is not good quality bird , My Opinion but that is how it works out

when they first start it will be 1 egg then maybe 1-2 days as their tracts get used to laying and going into production they should lay good after 2 weeks maybe 3 but if your birds only lay 3 and 4 eggs a week after a month then you might wanna rethink your line

when your birds lay about 4-6 months depending on animal and lines they will take a break this is normal after a yr old your birds will slow down again 2 yrs old they will lay less and lesser eggs . time to replenish the girls . get a incubator or even a hen that lines to go broody and let some sit for you its so much fun .

Thanks, Tim. Do they continue to lay through the winter? Thanks.
Better when its cool...spring, fall. They do okay in the winter, mine slow way down when its hot like right now. Of course its Really hot here in Texas.
