Thank you ShayBaby (if you were talking to me!). I really enjoy them, and so does DH (they were a gift from me to him). They are so nice to watch walk through the yard, and so funny to watch when they try flying!

Indeed I was. :) Lucky gal! DH would never in a million years buy me more chickens. He doesn't like them...crazy. They are my (40+) babies.

Thank you! We don't have plans for children, the animals are our kids here! He wanted these big ol' birds, I like BBS Jersey Giants, and I WILL have some someday! Lucky you having 40+, we are just getting started. Love the showgirl in your avatar by the way! So cute.

I know these aren't the best quality (from my first post here!), but I thought I would post just a couple of updated pictures for the fun of it! Yes, they have VH, and they aren't perfect, but they are mine, and they are such great birds. Have 1 suspect cockerel in the group, maybe 2, but hoping for 2.1 ratio of pullets to cockerels (or 3.0!). If there is any thought on gender here, than great! If not, that's okay too, I love these goofy little chickies anyway. They are bigger than they look in the photo, I keep track of weights, and these are about 3/4 of a kilo already! I can entirely see why people get so hooked on these big chooks.

Oh MY they are growing, and so beautiful. I have one here that is a runt for sure, only 1/2 the size of its partner. I "think" mine are a pair. I will get pics in the morning

I showed my light LF brahma hen at the Fayette County Fair and ended up winning best junior asiastic! I will have to post pics later. Just wanted to share!

Congrats!

You can see the difference in the sizes. Yet the smaller one has way more feathers than the larger one.

You can see a comb growing on the larger one also.
