Looks like I'm going to need a new brahma roo :( little 3 month old cockerel attacked my leg this morning, so He will be dinner soon. Anyone in central or southern ohio with a good tempered roo? I have small kids so any aggression will not be tolorated. Want a dark, buff, partridge or laced roo?

If I were you, I wouldn't make up my mind so quickly. This is rae. Sorry he is not a Brahma. But wanted to show you how tame he is now.we acquired him when he was just shy of one. He was he!! On wheels. Attacking our tom turkey. And the kids. It took only 3 dips in the bucket. And the kids knowimg to push him off with theor foot if he tries the piggy back in front of him. He is now the best little guy. Always feeding the hens. And watching out for them when it comes to the neighbors dogs constant persistence. And always keeps the cockerals in line.
Your guy is young, and could be just testing the waters. That being said; if he is aggressive enough to not come around, I completely ageee on NOT breeding him into your line :)

When I had this devil bird( silver spangled hamburg ) that would attack, I would just fight back. If he came at me I came at him. That usually got him to knock his crap off.

I will give him a couple of weeks, but if He doesn't knock it off he'll be dinner. I have a 1 yr old and 3 yr old and I am not taking any chances of him trying to hurt them.

Someone had some on the board here recently. Maybe big medicine? Seems like whoever it was was in Ohio.

I believe I have found a very good source to get 15 chicks in April. They will be straight run of either of the three choices buff laced, gold laced, and gold laced blue. If I am lucky I might get a few of each kind. However I am still interested and wanting other brahma colors even if it is light, buff, dark, or any of the other colors. I would like chicks if at all possible.
