Hi all, I finally got some lite Brams ordered but haven't had standard size before how tall would you guys say they get? Got some LF Cochins commin too,I cant wait to play with some colors!
If you type in kippenjungle in your online search box it should give the link and it's a awesome genetics calculator just keep croosing colors till' ya find what your looking for.
Hi to all,
I was wondering if any of you brahma lovers could tell me if this is a hen or roo. It was my free chick from MM and I'm thinking it is a dk brahma. I thought at first that it was a roo.It got big fast , but that just may be a dk. brahma thing. The chick is 11 weeks old now, but I see no signs of wattles or comb starting. In my cochins and naked necks you could tell the roos starting at about 4 to 5 weeks. Going by comb and wattle. The dk. brahma is the same age as the cochins and naked necks so I was just wondering. For example I also am posting a pic of my splash cochin , who has had his comb and wattle starting for several weeks now.
Also I have a question about the buff brahmas. I got 10 of them st. run from MM ,which are 11 weeks old also, and several of them are having a hard time getting any feathers to come in on their lower back. They have been feathered out everywhere else for several weeks now. Any ideas??
Thanks,
Tammy
I agree with big medicine, the Brahma you have in your photos looks to be a cockerel. Pullets would have the pencilling of the feathers. Males lack this and feather out darker.
