I could post a picture of what is left of my lovely Brahmas after a fox attack....in particular of Darky, a not very original name for my dark Brahma boy who was mauled by the fox but managed to survive the attack even after I stitched him up!

I've been thinking the same thing too, Tim.

Here's Heather, our 21 week old Dark Brahma from Privett.

Here is the Grey Lady (a.k.a. Mrs Grey) a one year old Dark Brahma hen who has just decided to go broody on the dog's bed (I have given the dog another bed in front of her).

Brahmas (and Collies) never cease to amaze me,

Here are some updated pictures of my Dark Brahma, Monica. I had guessed she was 20-24 weeks when I got her, which would make her 24-28 weeks now. No real idea on her age though, but she isn't laying quite yet

She is a wonderful girl, a bit cautious of me but that's because I got her as an older pullet. She has 'adopted' my two younger Wyandottes, and tends to them very well! She LOVES treats!

I am really becoming fond of the Buff Brahma's.. Earlier in this thread when I first got my Brahma, everybody said I would be hooked. I brushed them off, thinking "Nah, I am a Plymouth Rock kinda girl."

But now..? I am REALLY enjoying my Brahma, and hope to get some others this coming spring! I want a Buff Brahma, and maybe another color but not sure which. Any Brahma Breeders in California?

Nice birds everyone, all of them. Highlander, we have the Buffs here in the U.S., what you call gold are what we call partridge here I think. Blue columbians are not a "recognized" breed here, but they are very nice. I personally have Bantams in buff and light(columbian).

I was curious about the Gold as well! Now I understand. THOSE are beautiful as well. I would like a Buff, Partridge, and maybe another Dark.

I know what this chick is SUPPOSED to be, but I want an unbiased opinion. What color brahma will this chick grow up to be? Thanks, dak
