Thanks Joe and Erica. BB=best of breed, RB=reserve of breed, BV=best of variety, RV=reserve of variety.

Joe, I had some pretty good birds I hatched last year. Their tails were not too good. I got some birds from Greg and Chad to specifically improve that. I showed the rear shot of the female to show the really good tail. Chad and Greg are not too far from me, they have both helped me tons. This next breeding season I plan to work on more distinct covert lacing in my Buff females. I like the color of my lights, they are NOT powerfully built like a Brahma should be. I will work on that in my lights.

So happy to find this thread. We purchased 6 chicks in April which were supposed to be pullets (95%)... so far, we've re-homed 2 roosters and I believe I still have 2 left. Ugh! We did purchase 2 17wk old blue Jersey Giant pullets and 1 2-yr old easter egger.
These pictures are about 2 weeks old so I need to update. Can't believe how quickly they change.

This first picture is 1 of the roos and 1 of the pullets.

Just a few shots of my blue laced red project hens. The first is just bringing in her new feathers, back and tail feathers are not yet all the way grown out. A little lighter red, but probably the best laced.

The second is a little better shade of red, not as good laced.

And finally the worst laced, deepest red, and the head I like best.
