Tim, your babies are growing up, and I believe there are a few more girls than I originally thought

Clare, they look VERY promising. They look to have excellent heads. Color looks good for such a young age. The middle bird, looks like a female, has nice, well laced, wide hackles. Those little black flecks above the eyes on the first photo tend to disappear with age. Again, VERY NICE!

Tim - your 11's have to be in Bantam sizes, the 12's I get are specific to Large Fowl. Everytime I have tried to order this year, several suppliers say they dont have them. If you get some let me know where.

They don't do bantam and large sizes. Its just the size-8,9,10,11,12....and so forth, I think its the id or od in MM. Twin City has them up to 14.

My dark Brahma roo started with his wattles and comb early and pink like at 5 weeks old it was definant that he was a boy. he also had a different feather pattern than the girls , the girls we're very penciled and he had big laced solid feathers.oh and he got a cape of dark solid feather arcoss his shoulders the girls did not have this at all..
my avitar is of one of my girls- Jez, even though her head to me looks very masculine,, she never got anymore comb and her wattels are still tiny.. hope it helps.

I have four light brahmas (hatchery birds), one is a little smaller than the other three, feathering later and much darker. They all started out the same color as chicks, the difference started showing around 2 weeks. They are all supposed to be pullets, wondering if s/he is just that much further from the standard or a he? Pics are at 4 weeks 1 day.

And more pics, one with two of the others for comparison.

Just got a few... looking forward to when they get bigger

Rocky*, our rooster... just started trying to crow this weekend...

* yes, they are named after Rock Horror Picture Show Characters... Rocky because he is going to be big and blond, and the other two to fit the theme...it is one of my GF's favorite movies... I have yet to understand why it is supposedly a good movie...
