None of the credit is mine. The Lights are from Tim Lindenborn and the Buffs are from John Neff.

The Buffs are younger and not as filled out yet.

Being my first venture into bantams, I don't find them to be "cute" or fragile. They are a lot of bird. Little bricks.

I've been loosely following this thread and I dont think I have seen any barred brahmas. I know I have seen some from the Netherlands but no barred/cuckoo brahma projects here in the US. Anyone working on them?

You deserve plenty of credit. You have done an excellent job of raising them. You and Joe. A lot of the people I sold eggs to hatched them and sold them right away. I hate that I sold to some people who had no idea what they were getting, or the work I have put into them. I appreciate the work you have put into them.

Flyingmokeypoop: are you an ABA-APA licensed judge? I think its important that the recognized varieties are worked on and maintained.

Tim

I am not a licensed judge. I do agree about improving the established colors but when there are so few colors in a breed it is nice to bring people to the breed by having other colors that catch someones eye. The silver pencilled color is what brought me to brahmas in the first place, I worked with darks and partridge for a few years and even bred some solid red brahma bantams but the lack of color variety at the time in the breed is what made me venture into wyandottes. If the laced and blue based colors would have been available even 5 years ago I might have continued working with them.
