I hatched about fifty lights this spring, I ended up with only seven pullets. I got res of show last weekend with a light pullet(only 250 bird show though). The combs on my males are getting a bit out of hand. I need to pay closer attention to the combs on my breeder females. The problem is, the wider headed females have too big combs. It is not as noticable on the females....they still make good showbirds. Will have to breed a male and female line solely based on combs i guess. Monty F. was judge last weekend. I had res fl with a light male....he commented that the comb was bad but overall type was exceptional. Greg never gave a hoot about combs as he thought the point value was so low alll things considered. A big floppy comb just drives me crazy though. I wish my lights had the combs of my buffs! My best heads by far are on my light females right now. Looks like your birds got that. All pullets this year. From the birds hatched from your eggs last year.

BTW, the lacing looks good on the last birds coverts. Her mains should grow a bit more, The length will make her even better, it will open up more. She will win. What do her primaries look like?
