That would depend on
1) if they are crossed to welsummers.
2) now if crossed, male welsummer to dark Brahma females will produce partridge like female chicks, and male chicks more silver pencilled like with red bleed through.
3) if dark Brahma male over welsummer female will produce silver pencilledish female chicks, and male chicks similiar to above.
4) if pure dark Brahma, not really sure, been almost 30 years since I've had darks.




I need to look further into the medicinal power of twinkies.

You should eat twinkies every day. Then you will remember everything you ever knew. You might even be as smart as you were when you were 13...
 
does anyone have any show quality hatching eggs to ship... or, some young or older birds to sell anywhere near Michigan, Ohio. Indiana ??

One of my Dark Brahma hens started laying this week :) they are only 23 weeks old, so I was pretty happy

. her eggs are pretty small right now, so I'm hoping they get a little bigger as she lays more, I think the other one may be a late layer though, her comb is still a pale pink, where the other one that is laying already has more of a reddish look to it.
