If Golden Laced Brahma and any thing like GL Wayandottes or Cochins, you won't be able to tell sex by the feathering until they are a little older. The girls get the lacing on the shoulders and the boys don't. For that one it is still to early to tell by the feathering but the comb is looking a bit red.
I was not refering to the color pattern but the order in which certain parts of the body feather in. The body posture is also a clue.

It looks like the main noticeable difference is at the "elbow" of the legs. The males make a sideways "V" shape. Where as the females just come down straight? Is this a clue? I also have another question. I posted a picture of a mystery Brahma that came in a group of buff brahmas from cackle hatchery. It was noticeably different from day 1 when they came. Now the chick is growing some gold lacing around its feathers but does not look like my Dan Powell gold laced chicks. What could it be?
