Breakfast recipes for the decaffeinated?

You'll probably not like my advice, but here it goes.
Run. Yeap, go run (or any cardio) for 20 minutes or so while you are half awake. It'll get your metabolism moving and give you energy all day long. Or I guess you could have a couple martinis instead

you'll be moving then.

well . . . if you decide to run in the AM while drinking your martini I would let you borrow my sons prized "drinking hat" to help you avoid the heavy lifting of the glass . . .

I alternate between smoothies (freeze them in yogurt cups and take them with you! Easy.) and hashbrowns and eggs. You know you can bake a whole caserolle dish of hashbrowns and freeze them in individual portions?
My roomie also makes sausage biscut sandwhiches and freezes and mircrovaves them.
Frozen french toast reheats in the toaster.
Calzones made with breakfasty ingredients would be nice. I have an excellent crust recipe at home.

I don't have a toaster OR a microwave. I used to but I never used them so I threw them out.

But I'm taking all these ideas and putting the under 'I'll put them under the broiler and walk away like a zombie' or 'I'll put it in the oven and walk away like a zombie'.

I had coffee cake this morning!!

I love Baked Oatmeal! You can add whatever you want to suit your tastes. I usually bake it the night before and then cut a slice for breakfast. It is dense and filling and you eat it like a coffee cake

Gretna's Baked Oatmeal
The recipe is for a 9 x 13 pan, but divides in half for an 8 x 8 pan nicely.

In a big bowl, mix the following:
6 cups uncooked oatmeal = 21 oz.
4 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons salt
2 cups milk
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 cup oil (or applesauce)
2 cups sugar
4 eggs

(I like to add dried cranberries, or chocolate chips (depending on how healthy I feel like being, hehe) I have also added a bit of flax seed meal to increase some omega 3 )

Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 60 minutes. It will be set in the middle and lightly browned on the edges. Serve with or without milk.

Wow the baked oatmeal sounds scrumptious! That might make some nice muffins too.

I usually eat "non"breakfast food in the a.m. Whatever is left over and easy...........pizza or pasta or wheat toast and peanut butter, handful of almonds, carrots, broccoli raw, all kinds of weird stuff.

I will cook and like regular breakfasts for lunch or supper...........scrambled eggs, bacon, waffles, etc.
