Breaking Broody - Am I Doing It Right?

I see she's going down the path as my Ameracauna, so any suggestions on how to stop this so early? The broody cage seems excessive right now and I dont know if it would be even affective if she's not fully broody?
Put her in the breaker crate as soon as you are sure she's broody.

Does the bath work?
I would not do that in winter.
It can help to wet the underside in very hot weather, just before you put them in the crate.

But now, I'm certain my SS is gearing up to be broody. Today I found a handful of her feathers in the nest box. She was spending a bit of time in the nest box this morning so I went to check on her and she was quite unhappy (vocally) when I just gently touched her in the nest box. I wanted to check if there was an egg under her but I decided to leave and give her some time. She did eventually lay an egg and leave the nest box and is out in the run. Keep an eye on the SS but no need to act yet - she may go broody, or may not. I usually opt for the cage once they start sitting in the nest for hours and not wanting to leave (around 4-6+ hours is enough for me). Many people report broodiness seems contagious so just another reason not to let a broody stay broody if they're not hatching.
