Breast blisters and cut up wing tips

I just saw, and read through this thread. I have to suggest that Marek's be considered. When zooming in on the eye I see a graying ring around the pupil. The eye itself just doesn't look quite right to me. I have birds with ocular Marek's and it starts like this, and tends to be very slow progressing. That might also explain the bumps at the base of the feathers (cutaneous form). I could be VERY wrong, just felt it should be mentioned.
For the white feathers (I can't really see them in the pictures. I've had birds get random white feathers that in my flock have been either genetic color leakage (from mixed breeding), or have been brought on by injury or stress. I've had birds get some after molt and then lose them at the next molt and get regular color back. I have a GLW roo that got white feathers after a terrible bout with bumblefoot.

how long this old 9 year chikcen been in traction?!
it sad sad:(

Hmm, never thought about ocular mareks. I’m not familiar with symptoms but if it matters she was looking directly at the sun. I will get more pictures tomorrow. Do you know if it was eddies or Devs eye? I can take more pictures of both. Both of their eyes dilate well.
Eddie molted a few months ago but is still losing a feather a day, that’s where I got the feather I took a picture of. I’m assuming it is due to molt then.
Thank you for reading through this and giving your opinion.
Do you think the sun could have made her eye dilate making it look like a grey ring?
And what do your hens eyes look like now?

I will try to get a picture today of the worst one. Mine start out with the gray ring and then the pupil slowly shrinks smaller and smaller with some distortion of the round. I've seen pictures where the entire iris goes gray, haven't seen that (yet) in mine. You can search for images of Marek's disease and get lots of pictures. The symptoms of Marek's can be pretty variable from bird to bird depending on what strain it is. Some strains are more virulent and fatality is quick. With the ocular form birds can live years, if that is what you choose (knowing it's contagious through the feather dander). It's possible that it's simply the lighting of the picture, sometimes pictures don't tell the whole tale, sometimes they do. I think I can see the ring in both pictures of the bird's eyes, but it's most visible in the last picture you posted, and the iris also looks a bit odd to me in that one also. Certainly hope I'm wrong.

I just found and read through the whole thread! I don't have experience on these topics, but am hoping and praying she heals up! Shes SO precious! And good for you for keeping her as comfy as possible!!! Shes got a GREAT life!!!! :hugs 😊

Got some pictures for you of a couple of my birds. I have one more that is showing possible early signs but she is horrible to handle so didn't get her.
First is one of my roo's, first symptoms noticed about 2 years ago. He can still see, though I think the one eye is becoming significantly impaired. His weight is good and behavior is basically normal. He's first in the coop in the evening now, so I think it gets darker for him earlier.

These are of a hen, first symptoms seen just shy of a year ago. She still seems to see fine.

Thank you for taking the time to take pictures of yours,
I am studying their eyes a lot and I think Dev is fine, I can’t see a ring or misshaped pupil, that I can tell.
Eddie does have a very subtle grey ring around her right eye and the pupil looks a little off and her left eye’s pupil and iris is not 100% defined. Like it looks a little mixed? I could be studying so hard I’m seeing things though😂
I tried to take pictures of both, I am happy to take more if needed.
I put Eddie’s first then Dev

Also does it matter that she is 9’years old? Like would that help explain why her eyes might look like ocular mareks but just be old age? Dev is 7-8 years old.

It's very hard to say. I had birds for 11 years before I had a case of Marek's, I think it most likely that mine came from a wild bird, but will never know for sure. It can happen any time, and the virus is much more common than most people realize. It's possible that it could just be age, or another condition. I just wanted to mention it, make sure nothing is being missed. The lack of ability to walk, the skin bumps at bases of feathers, and eye changes can all be symptoms of Marek's. Doesn't mean it IS Marek's. Most Marek's is confirmed at necropsy, but there is one place I know of that can test a live bird, it's in Texas, you can send a blood sample (obtained from a trimmed toenail), if you want to do that to rule it in or out. Information and link is here in post #7: https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/chicken-walking-like-intoxicated.1498979/#post-25041992
The ocular form I have in my flock is very slow progression, so I've chosen to live with it and deal with it since my birds are already all exposed. You might choose to just have one of them necropsied when they eventually pass as another option to know if it was a contributor or not. IF it were Marek's then your birds are already exposed anyway. And again, it could be something else. The first two pictures above look the most off to me, and I know how hard it is to get a clear picture that shows what you see in person. The second two look more normal. It can be hard to tell when it's early in the progression. If it's Marek's then it will slowly get worse and become more obvious.
