I am in Florida too.
I am doubting it is a feather follicle since I have not seen feathers growing from that area in either of my chickens. I don't have the slightest idea what else it could be though.
Thank you for the information, her crop seems to be digesting regularly now and her poops are back to normal, Dev has some mildly liquid ones but she is acting fine too. I am still giving Eddie baytril just in case.
it's a relief to hear that if it is mareks, the vet won't try to take extreme measures. I am very hopeful the vet will know about chickens but with all of Eddie's things, it may be hard for them.
