Breathing fast, sleepy, a little smaller than others

Underdeveloped chicks can be rescued with vitamins and special high protein feedings. When I have a chick such as yours, I keep it with the brood so it will be stimulated by competition to eat, unless it's too weak to compete.

It can't overeat. Let it have all it wants. If it should start to fade, give it warm sugar water to revive it. It can be touch and go at first, but some do make it to adulthood.

Azygous, thank you for your advice, the gray chick seems to be doing better, after feeding it egg yolk for a few days. Definitively more energetic, eats more chick feed, and grew a little too.

Others don't mind the egg yolk either :)

I gave all chicks Corid for five days, medium dosage (3/4 teaspoon per gallon). Some of them still have runny poop despite the corid - not the grey chick anymore though.

Can it be normal, and not a sign of Coccidiosis? Nothing red in the poop.

It's welcome news the little guy is feeling better. The runny poop is of minor concern for now. Sometimes an imbalance between amount of water consumed and solid food can have this result. But keep an eye on this chick for any behavior changes that might indicate it's slipping again.

Update: Weeks and weeks later, she is doing well :)
Thank you, Folks, for your advice! IMG_20200722_184729.jpg
