Breed and gender of these hen+chicks please??

By the way, is being "rumpless" something bad? Is it a mutation, or an indication of its breed/gender?

I don't think so. He/she might just be a little slow on growing in the tail feathers. Couldn't say for sure though. As for gender, my gut tells me all are females, but it's probably too early to tell, as some other members have said.

No...I don't believe its rumpless at all...Just slow on getting tail feathers

As for gender, my gut tells me all are females...

We live in a housing estate, we are all hoping they are females!!!!

The two chicks with gold are likely cockerels, with the black chest feathers. Regardless of ancestry, that's a pretty male specific trait.

It can be a mutation, or the indication of a certain breed. But since neither parent is the same breed - I would think a spontaneous mutation.
