My eight year old is looking for an encyclopedia of the different types of chicken, guinea, and peacock breads. A book with descriptions of temperament, sizes, egg colors.........any suggestions. And I know we can look on the computer. But I would like a book he can sit down and read at night about them. Thanks

ps. Also I don’t want it to be a kid book.

I have a copy of Storey's Illustrated Guide to Poultry Breeds that is pretty good...great pictures and it covers a wide range of breeds. Maybe he would like something like that?

I found my copy at TSC but you might check Amazon to see if they have it.
