breed/sex help please:)

Out of your previous batch: Your leghorns must be about 5-6 weeks now? All your leghorns are definitely roos and so is your white/brown EE.

New chicks - don't know on the barred one - is it a mix? I can see profile of the combs on the RIR's in the last pic you have of them - I would guess they are roos, but it's still a bit early.

For comparison: These are my leghorn pullets & RIR at 7-8 weeks of age - big difference.

That's disappointing, but what I thought as well. A kid he teaches bought the RIR as SR, but I thought they were roos too.

The chicks we hatched were sired by a dominicker & I don't know what the moms were. One is a banty & I think it is probably a roo. The black and white one I was hoping to be a pullet:)

Thanks for the help:) Anyone else want to provide their expertise?

Any other opinions? Why does the one leghorn have such a big red comb compared to the other two? Any opinions on the two we hatched of mixed breed? Also, does anyone know how to tell sex of a duck or the quail... won't I have to wait for feathers? The duck is almost starting to quack some instead of just peeping... is that a sign of sex?

Thank you all for your help:) I am having so much fun learning!

Oh yes they sex them like always ,vent sex. after hatching

Leghorns are not vent sexed. They are feather sexed at a day old.
