Would there be a way to set up a donation box on this site and sned the funds to them from all of us? I have some money in my paypal account and would gladly donate some of it.

This is very sad. This person is certainly not worthy of being called a 'breeder'. A hoarder is more like it and a couple other words I can think of, but cannot post.

I am glad to hear they are using a quarantine period and hope they all find good, loving homes.

These stories are just sad all around. It is horrible, the conditions they found everything in. I hate to hear about stuff like this, but it happens much, much more often than we hear about.

It is what happens when we let our animal addictions run too far. I just want to remind everyone that what these people did is wrong, but in reality they are probably not much more different than you or I. It truly is a sickness, if you will. The collecting and hoarding of animals. It is our animal addictions at their worst.

Many times they are elderly people or mentally ill or disabled people who can hardly take proper care of themselves nevertheless the animals they "love"(are addicted too) so much. It is a progressive disease, often aided by disabilities and age. If this is genuinely the case, I hope those people get the help they need and are prohibited from owning more animals. I believe that these people were not "right" somewhere along the line, who in their "right" mind would live in a trailer amoungst hundreds of decaying carcasses? The article didn't specifically state that the trailer was lived in, it was merely an assumption. I honestly doubt that these people lived too much better than their animals and just didn't have the good judgment to say "no more animals, get rid of the ones we have."

I just wanted to remind everyone that the animals are most likely not the only victims in a story like this, but often the people are victims of their own animal-addictions and devices.

I wish I could aid in this rescue mission for the animals. I am not siding against the animals in this case, I am only stating that all too often the people are seen as evil, when in reality they are usually strongly addicted, overrun, and truly need help. Just trying to open up different perspectives for ya'll to consider. Yes, they should be held responsible for their actions and neglect, but I also hope these people get the help they so desperately need.

Edited to add: I just saw the ages of the people on a different article, 34 and 40. So these were not elderly people. They may still be "sick" in some sense of the word. It is just dissapointing to hear these stories and know it happens all too often.
