They have, and do.No way, too many mutations. Wild bird like even Aseel could not persist in nature.

I do not believe that in the slightest. They have, and do.
Are you denying the existence of gruiformes?I do not believe that in the slightest.
I am confident the Oriental / erect standing hard feathered birds are derived from a bankovid type game that predates all other types of existing chickens. Those first domestic chickens looked a lot like Red Jungle Fowl with a little admixture of Grey / Sonnerat's Jungle Fowl. That basic design could have persisted for a few thousand years before development of the Aseel type birds. There is no way an oriental type bird could have occurred naturally unless on some island, and it would have to have been within mainland India because that is where both of the key ancestral jungle fowl are located. Not saying a Shamo as exists today was a wild bird, but certainly a common ancestor, with a different build, different head and longer legs, harder sparser feathers when compared to red JF. Even if totally man-made selections are at play there is still common ancestry.
No chickens are derived from Gruiformes. Are you denying the existence of gruiformes?
Never suggested that they were. But there are gruiformes with rather long legs and stocky bodies that live in dense jungle environments. As well as multiple species of Phasianadae. Megapodes, etc. A bird absolutely does not have to have the form of a wild red junglefowl to survive in the wild, especially in dense jungle. No chickens are derived from Gruiformes.
Those birds can fly and or actually run. This not a discussion worth having that orientals are derived from anything other than typical jungle fowl.Never suggested that they were. You guys are smoking something. Only penguins walk like the orientals.Don’t forget wild turkeys, which are long necked, long legged, heavy, galliforms. The reason I choose sonatol aseel for my breeding project is because they favor a wild turkey in build and stance. A body plan that is proven to survive in the North American woods. Whether they have the proper instincts is a different question.
