I have 2 beautiful splash silkies. One rooster and one hen.

I dont know alot about the genetics of colors. If I breed my two blue splashes will I get all blue splash chicks?

The same with my partridge hen a rooster.

You will get all splash from a splashxsplash mating. Unfortunately the splash dilutes itself with each splashxsplash breeding, so they will be lighter. Splashxblue would be preferable to get splash chicks.

Anyone else? I would love as much info on this as posable

It will take several generations for splashing to dilute. If it does, add blues to the mix.

Partridge should be bred to partridge. Many keep separate hen and cock lines as getting correct colouring for each gender is difficult with one line.

Breed splash to a black or a blue to get blues.

I like breeding black to blue because sometimes I get all three. And I love variety.

Breeding splash to either blue or black will improve the color of your splashes as they said.

I bred a fairly light splash roo to a nice blue hen and got GREAT splash color on the progeny. Glad I listened to Sonoran.

Mine are Sizzles but the rule still applies.
