How many people keep mountains on wire? I assume most. Does anyone keep them on shavings? I dislike wire, but would keep them on it if neccassary. Thanks.

It kina depends on the personality of the individual birds sometimes hens can be really mean to other hens at times a hen want the male all to herself and will peck the other hens until they are gone / dead
