Hi! I have some BB red bantam roos. They have been trying to mate with my standard size white leghorn hens. I was wondering, if I hatch some leghorn eggs, assuming they ate fertile, what will they be? Will they be standatd like the mom, or bantam like the dad?

I have discovered from breeding bantam to standard they are usually a combo of the two. For example, I bred a 1 1/2 OEGB pound rooster to a 4 pound hen, the roosters were about 3 pounds, and the hens were about 2 pounds. I would try hatching some of these eggs if you want to, you might get some pretty cool chickens!

I'll post pics of the chicks if I decide to hatch some. Here are some pics of the breeds in question:

I am not 100% sure if they are OEGBs or not, so he could be mixed breeds. We got them from an auction.
