Breeding for dark meat and brown eggs and sex-link characteristics

I am thinking of an Orpington and something else. I would want to be able to cull the roosters quickly from the main flock. I want to have a large legged bird, hence the Orpington. Any advise, and or experience with this?

you could use a RIR roo over a light brahma hen...the hens will be red and the boys yellow, the hens will lay very well and the boys will be large if you plan on using them as roasters.....or just use the barred rock type, the hens lay good and the chicks are sexable at hatch...good luck
