We have a buff orpington rooster and a white silkie hen that we bred. Their kids are really nice and sweet (three of them are roosters), and I'd like to keep breeding them so that we can always have some of them around. Is a brother and a sister an acceptable breeding pair? What are acceptable breeding pairs? Thanks!

Well, that's not entirely true.

You can breed brothers and sisters together - however, if you continue to do so for several generations (i.e. you breed the ones you're keeping together, and then you breed their offspring together, and then you breed their offspring together, and so on and so forth) your stock is going to get very inbred and you may eventually start seeing deformities.

So - you can certainly breed the ones you have now together with no worries, just don't keep breeding all of their offspring together for generations without adding some new blood.
