Breeding Pairings for 2015

Yes FBC I asked and kskingbee said you had taken up racing. I was wondering about the feed that you were feeding if it helped your fertility?

Yeah, I was afraid I had poisoned you with that mead I sent you! Good to see you pop back in!

Yup- good to see you back FBC. My pair is in 355sq' round pen. If it was bigger I would have more hens with him. But my younguns need the bigger pens.

Not to get off topic but back in the early 1980's I used to build and run in Demolition Derbies and was invited to participate in several National "invite only" derbies. Marriage and kids caused me to eventually get out of th sport but the guy I work for also used to run derbies(sometimes we ran together) and now he has two boys that are getting into the sport and who better to put a chevy engine into a ford car? Also my moms husband passed away a few months ago and she lives in Mississippi so several trips back and forth there to help settle things. Had a possum chew thru a wall board and killed about a dozen of this years peas,,one was a pair of Taupes,,needless to say theres no longer a possum here.

You weren't too far off topic Frenchy, you talked about peas, that's good enough.

Funny you mentioned opossums, I was calling the free rangers in tonight and about a dozen of them would not come when I called them. I got tired of waiting for them so I went down to see what they were doing. They were circling a possum, had it surrounded, made it real easy to step on it and kill it. Once I had taken care of it, it became a foot race back to the pen for supper. I really enjoyed feeding time this evening, I was walking out to the pens with my bucket of mash, I was only a few feet from the pen door when about ten peas came flying in from the field honking all the way.

@KsKingBee , if you go get one of those wonderful dogs from @zazouse , I don't think you will find any more possums, and your peas will be home on time for supper

You might find possum scraps once in awhile... if they decide to keep it as a dog toy

I showed DW the picture of the window cleaners and she wondered if we could at least borrow one for a while. We have a friend that needs to rehome year and a half GP, but I think we should opt for a pup and not go for the free-somebody's-problem-dog.

I've adopted adult dogs (3 of the 4 dogs presently here were rehomed/rescued adults) but I don't have free range birds. You have to deal with puppyhood, but you are home to be with the pup during the day, which is the best possible situation for raising a puppy. That way you can make sure from day 1 that the pup is good with the birds.

And get a girl dog, kskingbee. I want to mate my outstanding boy to a female but he is 5 already so hurry up already!!!

Back in August we went to Salina and was gone a lot longer than expected. I left him in house as it was 105 plus day. Gone 15 hours and no accident!
