Breeding Project Spring 2014

I am doing a test run to see if they are fertile- wish me luck! The pink eggs are blue, and blue splash maran moms, and the really light pink is a charcoal colored cochin, the blue and olive ones are EE
!
here is the dad, he has pretty gray on him His mom was a full gray "blue" of some sort his dad looked like a red cochin. I had a chicken friend look at him recently in person and said he was very handsome.

he is on the right. the one on the left is a Blue andelusian roo, but he is shy.

Yeah, size isn't really that important.

That depends on what you're talking about.
For instance, when it comes to chocolate, bigger is ALWAYS better!!!

well I hope soon- my rooster is not afraid of the hens- is not running from them anymore and roosts with them. but I have not seen him do the dance.

I agree with Mitch. The dance will come.
My roo had been in with other older roos; I guess he learned from watching them.
Maybe instinct takes a little longer to kick in if he doesn't see other roosters dancing with the hens????

And they are beautiful birds! =D
I'd like some like that (especially the Cochin variety; do you have LF or Bantam?)

my goose is thinking of spring she is laying again.

Ooooh! Goose eggs are huge!!! I want one! Well, maybe. Are they more difficult to keep than chickens? Do they need water like ducks? Are they messy like ducks? Maybe I shouldn't; I'm going to hatch turkeys in the spring. One addition at a time.
Okay, I'm talking too much.
