breeding to egg period?

My turkey pen is the bottom of a barn its open on one side, solid on one, one side is fenced in which leads to the remainder of the barn but isnt very light, and the other side has a sliding door for a wall. Its not incredibly light down there, but its by no means dark. Would this force them to lay later, i know its a factor with chickens, but ive never tried to breed turkeys till this spring, i usually just get poults. I have 3 100 watt bulbs rigged in the rafters, but i usually dont turn them on, and it doesnt make alot of difference until dusk anyway. also i could open that sliding door and run wire across, id just have to climb down from the hayloft to get in there them. is it worth my trouble to do all that?
I did go out today and get some dried cain and grasses and kind of brush up the nests i built to give them that added sense of security and whatnot, think that'll help at all?
he's been breeding the heck out of them, maybe im just impatient.

I'm still waiting on our turkeys to lay. Our turkeys usually start laying the 2nd to 3rd week in March. I have never used lights on them as we just let nature take its course. I read somewhere that if you do use lights; you would want to extend the mornings and not the evenings. I have no idea on how much of an impact artificial lighting would help...maybe someone will chime in with that answer.

My Auburns started laying over a month ago and they have lights that go on before dusk and off at 11PM and my Bourbons without lights just started today.....my Midgets without lights have been laying since October so I'd say it just depends mine are all the same age pretty much they were hatched in late April.....
