Hi lovely people. I'm new to having baby chicks and just so eager to figure out if they're boys or girls.

I requested a mixed bunch of:
- gold laced Wyandottes
- silver DL barnevelder
- Australorps
- Orpingtons
- marans

I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out what is what (some are getting obvious, some not so much) and take a guess at whether they are boys or girls.

I have tried to make a guess based, but interested to see what others think. Thank you 🙂

I believe Chick 1 is a silver DL barnevelder

I believe Chick 2 might be an australorp?

As far as breeds I’m thinking that you’re right about 1, 2, 5, 8 and 10. I think that the splash guesses are likely (7 & 9). 3 and 5 have feathers on their feet but 3’s is more dominant. I can’t be sure if 6 is a blue australorp... would you mind taking a photo of the chick front on? 3 might be something like a blue copper maran and 4 is weird because it looks like there might be some sort of lacing and it has a single comb?! It might be a mix. The genders won’t be accurate at this age update in a few weeks and everything should be clearer. :)
