I think your honey was told the black ones are sex-links, and maybe mis-heard. The first one is, the second I can't tell from the pic. Does she have red/brown on her neck also, or is she solid black? The first is a black sex-link, the second would probably be an australorp.
No matter what breed they are, they all look to be from good laying stock and should lay like champs! That's what's important, right?
