Has anyone noticed if different breeds hold a different position when roosting? I just got my birds to actually stay on the roost tonight - (3 out of 6 anyway), and I notice that the one RIR sort of leans out further - head slightly down - while the BR seem to be sitting in a more relaxed, balanced position... just curious, not worried. Anyone?

They're just still learning. They do all sorts of things til they grow up a bit more.

I do hope you have wide roosts for those heavy breeds, at least the flat side of a 2x4. Chickens' toes don't curl so they don't do well with round roosts. If you have something like a closet pole, I would change it. The flatter roost prevents toe frostbite, too, because they rest on the entire foot.
