Breeds that you absolutely HATE

Awww don't hate on silkies! I thought they were the ugliest things ever and never wanted one but then my dad ordered one for me....I didn't mind, but I didn't want to grow close to it, I prefered my sebrights...so I get my partridge silkie and omg the cutest chick ever, cream with a speckled head! Silkie has grown into a poofy, afro-ed hen and when I sit in the coop, she jumps on my lap and snuggles into my shirt. So moral is, until you've actually had the chance of raising the breed, don't hate on them. I went from hating silkies to adoring them!!!!! HEr name is Silkers :]

HMMMM...I think I have come to the point of VERY much disliking....Roosters!! Of any breed, but only when they reach sexual maturity. If I didn't need them to make me cute chickies..wait I could just buy fertilized eggs!! Sorry roo's your outta here!! YEAH!

I am probably the odd man out, but I really dislike Welsummers after owning the two I have now. I must say, I will never buy another one. They are so flighty and wild acting. If I even look at them cross eyed they freak out and even manage to get my normally laid back girls into a tizzy.

I think Silkies are odd. I don't hate them, but they are very odd. They seem to have created a cult among the fanciers, too. Its kind of funny, actually

I also think those Shamo type birds are freakish! They don't even look like chickens. They look like something from a nightmare, LMAO.

I'm gonna have a lot of people hate me now, and I don't "hate" them but I don't like them. . .

Barred Rocks, Black Australorps, Hatchery-type Buff Orpingtons and Rhode Island Reds, Delawares, Sussex, and Leghorns.

I wouldn't take one if it was free.

I don't like bantams in general... and like someone said I don't like "delicate" breeds.
I like the dual purpose production breeds that can provide meat, eggs, and more little chickens.

There are many I don't like the look of, but from my personal experience I raised showgirls and silkies for a short time. I liked them ok but sold them to make room for others, just didn't get bit by the bug I guess.

My very worst experience was with Delawares, from good breeding stock. They were just awful hateful things! I got them at about 8 weeks but I also got some mixed breed chickens at 8 weeks and they were MUCH sweeter and are the bosses of this place now!
