I don't like Rhode Island Reds and most naked necks except for showgirls when they're chicks. Actually, I"m not really very fond of red chickens in general.

I'm not sure where you got your Wellies from but I'll bet they weren't purebred. I'll bet they were crossed with Partridge Penes or even full Partridge Penes, talk about a flighty bird. My experience with 50-60 Welsummers have all been great, they are my favorite breed. They are the only breed I don't look to see where the roosters are before entering their pen. I can also turn loose two month old pullets in the breeding pen and not worry about them, how many breed can you say that about?
I have to agree with you on the Silkies though. I'm not to fond of any of the small foofy birds.
My late tolbunt POLISH FRIZZLE rooster Andre'. He was a big boy, but always nice to us and the girls...
I must say, I don't think there is a breed I hate. I wouldn't have any bird that didn't get along with the others or was mean. Those are my stipulations
Oh yeah, feast your eyes on my avatar! A frizzled serama
I also agree, those are about the only two I can think of. I think if I were going to get either of them, I'd just catch a buzzard, they look about the same but buzzards may be a bit more attractive.
I honestly feel the breeds I posted were the only ones different from the average people's dislike of Turkens and Showgirls or Silkies. Get over it people, they're far more unique than your Barred Rocks and Rhode Island Reds!!
- And, have you ever had one? Amazingly sweet, dog-like personalities those Turkens have!!
