LMAO! It's true!! Welcome, Wynette! How goes it?!
Well, guys... I'm officially going to cry. I just fostered a litter of 5 newborn kittens from the day they were born until about 2 and a half weeks old. Then we got in a momma cat that had 2 kittens about 5 days younger than mine. She became the surrogate mother and has had them for about a week and a half now, but lately has been having some problems. I'm not sure if she just can't handle all 7, isn't producing enough milk, or what. All I know is that all of my kittens, especially 1 or 2 in particular, are starving! Just skinny and screaming all the time. I've been supplementing them with a bottle while I'm at work, coming in late at night and on weekends to check up on them and feed them, I've taken them home a night here and a night there... It's exhausting and I'm very worried about them pulling through. They seem more perky today, though still hungry. A couple are starting to try canned food, which is great! The sooner I can get them to eat, the better off they'll be, because they definitely aren't getting enough milk from mom, and they're just chewing the nipple on the bottle now that those tiny teefers are coming in. HOWEVER somebody just found a NEWBORN kitten on the side of the road. Aye aye aye. I don't know what I'm going to do.
