Redhead Hen--Welcome to the thread! Don't feel bad, I overslept too and was 30 minutes late for work! I am here now, but not very motivated yet. Haven't drank enough mountain dew yet.

Rachel--You will enjoy the new chicks!

PRC--Not the hair!

Paty--How's the hubby today? Did he get the pocket popped?

Princess--Don't be as stubborn as Paty's husband!!

Opa--You are only as old as you feel!

Bluemoon - THANKS for the morning laugh! OH...sorry 'bout your little bat friend. Just remember....he's probably way more freaked out about YOU than YOU are about HIM!

Oh yeah, we scared each other I think. Then ALL CHAOS broke loose. The white cowardly dog that DH mentioned was NO help either....

I'm looking for body armour at the moment. Bluemoon vs. Bat round 2

There's no wondow to open down there. I'm not even sure how it got in !

It's one of those sink back in time medieval basements. You can even see the wizard battle marks down there.

Morning all! I woke up late, as well and only woke up because police dispatch called. Had to get up, get dressed and go straight to a call, took me about 30 minutes to get there and I know I'm going to get yelled at for it. Dang it!

Paty, that's very sad about the fox

They're such beautiful animals. It drives me NUTS that people are so quick to kill wildlife simply for being there. We get people calling all the time with complaints of fox, woodchucks, opossom, skunks, raccoons, even squirrels and birds! Most of the time the animals are just passing through or have dens or nests on/near somebody's property. I can't believe the amount of people who just want the animals to be disposed of. It's like, "Really? You aren't willing to take a couple minutes of your time to try some deterrent methods?" Some of the complaints are at the height of ridiculousness. (Is that even a word?!) I have a very difficult time not verbally tearing people a new one haha. We don't remove or kill wildlife here unless it's an ill/injured adult or posing an immediate threat to the public. Infants and juvies go to rehabbers. We just had a big case this winter where a Great Horned owl was caught in an illegal leg-hold trap. To see such a magnificent bird that way was heartbreaking. His leg was amputated but he ended up having to be euthanized due to a bone infection. People here were OUTRAGED. The DEP and hunters and trappers tried to frame the rehabber who helped the owl, saying she PLANTED THE TRAP ON ITS LEG!!!! Which was hilarious because my coworker was the one who went out in the woods, picked it up and brought it to her! The whole thing was disgusting and the outcome was very, very sad.

Wow, I'm babbling today! Anywho, hope everybody has an awesome morning, I'm sure I'll drop back in soon.

I'M PICKING UP MY HOUDANS AFTER WORK!!! I can hardly contain myself! And I placed the order for my chicks last night! Exciting stuff!!!

If it were me, the laundry wouldn't get done! I am such a baby about things like that, especially when something scares me. Not quite as bad if you know it is there first. I would just stand there and scream like a little girl.

Holy crap! LOL be careful!!!! Put gloves on and try to catch it with a big blanket. If it's in mid air just toss the blanket over it. Wrap it up and bring it outside. If there's one, there are more! They can squeeze through the tiniest of cracks so you have to figure out how it entered and get it blocked off!
