Did she pull a nest ahead of time?
Actually, no. The nest is not that big. She definitely pulled more afterwards. Since there are five, I'm sure they will keep each other warm enough. It may just be because she's a different breed, but, compared to the Mini's nests, the nest is tiny. Maybe she will pull more tonight. The nesting box is definitely extremely well insulated as well, so that's not a very big concern.

I’m not dying or anything waiting on pictures 🤣🤣🤣

Uh for Mini Lops? Like negatives. Maybe. They grow such thick coats! As long as there out of the elements, temperature really isn't that great of a factor. I put a tarp around 3/4 of the hutch to keep the snow out, the open side points to the deck. We will have to bring the hutch back up to the deck still... The thing is a tank now that I've added the two extra levels 😵‍💫
I will also be deep cleaning it and making repairs so that we're all set for winter :)
What will you be doing for winterizing?
Your so lucky! It rarely gets below 32 degrees. The high today for me was like 86.

Ugh! Where are you at located?? I think I need to move there hahaha! I hate the cold. It’s dropping to 27 tonight and 21 tomorrow night 😭
Rightttt. I have the exact same forecast as you. I spent the day wrapping hutches and the goat house with extra tarps and putting extra extra straw in all the animals beds. Alot of straw between 11 goats, 2 pigs, 8 rabbits, and 3 ducks. The chickens don't get anything special lol

Lol I’m the same way with the chickens. Unless it’s like single digits, they are all good, but I do use a heat lamp when it hits the teens! I’m hoping my rabbits do ok tonight. Their cages are covered by siding and a roof and I put extra hay down on the wire for them. They got a few extra pellets at night too. I’m so not ready for the cold temps. This is wayyyy to early for this cold of temps.
