Broken toe, bumblefoot, got, infection?

Today her whole foot is starting to swell. Praying the vet can get her in tomorrow. Hoping they can lance and clean it and maybe give her some antibiotics.

I would have amputated the toe. Maybe a little brutal and extreme, but the toe wasn't right to begin with...

So, how did it go? Been thinking of your poor hen's foot today. I bet it'll be so much more comfortable when it's not inflamed and full of pus.

Okay, so the vet punctured her toe and drained a small amount of fluid from it. He ran a serology test and came back that it was indeed infected which we knew. He didn't find any cuts or wounds on her feet, but said due to her toe being broken she probably caught it on something and it gas already outwardly healed. He prescribed amoxicillin 2 times daily for 10 days and said I did not need to wrap or cover the pucture site. I put some antibiotic cream on it before returning her to the flock. She seems happy to be back with the girls. I'm hoping it will heal quickly. I was in a hurry this morning so I didn't take pictures, but I will try to get some this evening.
